(Before It's News)

By Susan Duclos

The autopsy results from the death of actor Paul Walker has been released and they determine that Walker was alive after impact and before the car burst into flames. Toxicology reports will still take six to eight weeks according to the coroner.

Walker died from “combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries,” meaning the initial impact and severe burn injuries.

They have also ruled that the impact itself resulted in the death of the driver, Roger Rodas.

While authorities have determined speed was a factor in the deaths and crash, they have not determined the cause of the crash.

The New York Daily News:
The victims were so horribly disfigured that the coroner had to use dental records to identify Walker and Rodas, and to determine which one of them was behind the wheel.

The images below are graphic and sent to me via email from BIN reporter N. Morgan, one provides an outline of the bodies as they were found.

December 4, 2013 - Paul Walker death: Coroner plans more tests before autopsy complete

1 of 13
Video: Assessing the impact of Paul Walker's death
The Los Angeles County coroner's office will likely take several more weeks before presenting a final autopsy report for “Fast and Furious” star Paul Walker, who died Saturday in a car crash in Santa Clarita.
Preliminary results released Wednesday said Walker died from a combination of traumatic injuries and burns after the Porsche he was riding in crashed and erupted in flames. The car's driver, 38-year-old Roger Rodas, died from traumatic injuries, coroner's officials said.
Further details about the crash and deaths will be provided when the autopsy report is completed, officials said. Results of toxicology tests -- common in autopsies -- will not be available for six to eight weeks.
Los Angeles County Coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter said the men died "within seconds" of the crash.
The deaths have been ruled an accident, with the injuries occurring as the result of "auto versus fixed object."  Although witnesses confirmed that Rodas and Walker were in the car, the men were positively identified through dental records.
They were killed about 3:30 p.m. Saturday when the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT crashed into a pole and several trees on Hercules Street in Santa Clarita.
Detectives have not determined what caused the crash, but a preliminary investigation indicates speed was a factor, Sheriff's Capt. Mike Parker said.
Just how fast the car was moving is to be determined. The speed limit on the street is 45 mph.
Friends have told authorities the high-performance Porsche was not street racing at the time, and L.A. County sheriff's officials say eyewitnesses did not see a second car.
The limited-production, 2005 Porsche Carrera GT has a history of being difficult to control.
The sports car is capable of reaching 100 mph in under seven seconds. It was built without the stability management system that most Porsche models are equipped with.
Jeremy Clarkson, co-host of the BBC's "Top Gear" television show, said during his review of the car: "You need to be awake to drive this fast. It really isn't an easy car to control. The clutch is brutal, the power is savage and the handling ... you really are on a knife edge. But if you put in the effort, boy, oh boy do you get the rewards.
"It is a phenomenon -- mind-blowingly good. Make a mistake, it bites your head off.”

December 4, 2013 - Big questions in Walker crash probe

  • updated 3:18 PM EST 12.04.13Big questions in Walker crash probe
No smoke for a minute after Walker crash

(CNN) - Four days after the crash that killed actor Paul Walker and his friend and financial manager Roger Rodas, big questions remain unanswered, including:

  • Did anything go wrong with the vehicle?
The Porsche Carrera GT the two men were in has three times the horsepower of the average car. It's powered by a V-10, 610-horsepower engine. At $450,000 new, it flies down the roadand is notoriously difficult to handle.
A top driver has called the car "scary," Autoweek magazine reported.
Rodas was the sixth owner of this one, the magazine said.
Rodas was driving Saturday, according to autopsy results released Wednesday by the Los Angeles County coroner's office.
Authorities say speed was a factor in the crash. Still, Walker and Rodas were both experienced drivers, leading many to question whether something went wrong with the vehicle.
Jim Torp, a car enthusiast who was at the charity event where Rodas and Walker had been just before the crash, said he thought he heard some kind of blast before the car slammed into a light pole. "What the first explosion was -- I don't know if their tire blew up, because it sounded like a tire blew on the car," Torp told CNN on Monday.

    How fast were they going?
The area where the crash took place -- a wide business park road in Valencia, California -- has a reputation for being popular with drivers who like the thrill of going fast. In recent years, authorities have tried to stop the speeding in the area.

A 45-mph speed limit sign was on the light pole knocked down by the Porsche. A security camera video, which does not show the car itself, suggests that black smoke started to rise from the vehicle about a minute after the light pole and tree fell.
A Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department investigation is focused on how fast the 2005 vehicle was going.
Skid marks on the asphalt near the crash site, which indicate a car had done doughnut spins, also are being examined, but Torp told CNN that he looked closely at the skid marks and believes they were left by a car with smaller tires.

    Was anyone else in danger?
Amid the outpouring of grief for the deaths of Walker and Rodas, many people are also asking whether the ride had endangered pedestrians or other drivers. It took place at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
Online stories about the crash are filled with comments from readers saying it's fortunate that no one else was killed or injured.

In 2001, when the first "Fast & Furious" movie was released, Walker talked about the dangers of drag racing. "Nothing would be worse than a 120-mile-an-hour blowout, on a surface street, you know, with pedestrians lining up and down. You know, it's just common sense, it's just not worth the risk factor," he said.

Authorities have ruled out drag racing in this accident, and those who knew Walker and Rodas say they were not the sort of people who would risk their lives and others' in a race.

December 4, 2014 - Paul Walker Died Within Seconds of Crash, Coroner Rules

Paul Walker died from the "combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries" in Saturday's car accident in Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office reported today.

Walker, 40, was the passenger in a 2005 Porsche driven by financial adviser Roger Rodas, 38, that crashed and then erupted in flames after striking a light pole and tree.

The coroner's office told ABC News that two different doctors did autopsies on the two men. They found that Rodas died on impact, with Walker dying "maybe" a few seconds after from the combined effects of the impact and the fire.
"Both deaths have been ruled by the coroner to be accidents," the report adds.
The report confirms that the two men who died in the vehicle were in fact Walker and Rodas, after reports earlier in the week that dental records were needed to identify the deceased.
Toxicology reports are expected in six to eight weeks.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's investigators are still trying to determine the cause of Saturday's crash, which claimed the life of the "Fast & Furious" star and his friend. They have said speed was a factor.
Sheriff's detective Jeff Maag told People magazine the driver "was doing well over 45 [mph] – [it's] fair to say at least twice that."
That means Maag believes Rodas was going at least 90 mph on a street where the limit was just 45.
He added it will take days or weeks to complete the investigation and conclude how fast the car was going and whether mechanical problems caused the crash.

December 2, 2013 - Paul Walker death: Eight-year-old son of Porsche driver Roger Rodas tried to rescue his father

The eight-year-old son of Roger Rodas was one of the first to try and rescue his father after the car he was travelling in with actor Paul Walker crashed and burst into flames.

Mr Rodas and Mr Walker had been on a 20 minute drive and were on the way back to an event hosted by the Fast & Furious star’s charity, when Mr Rodas seems to have lost control of his Porsche Carrera GT.

The vehicle smashed through a lamppost and into a tree before being engulfed in flames, killing them both.

The crash happened so close to the event that friends and family, including Mr Rodas’ son, ran to the wreckage to try and put out the fire and rescue the pair.

“I ran over afterwards, I was trying to find Roger’s son,” Jim Torp, an eyewitness who attended the event told the New York Daily News.

“I found out his son had jumped the fence and gone over, he was trying to get his dad out. Paul Walker’s best friend was trying to get Paul out of the car while it was still on fire ... he was trying to save his friend ... there was nothing he could do.”

Another witness and friend of Mr Walker, Antonio Holmes told The Santa Clarita Valley Signal: “We all heard from our location [the accident]. It’s a little difficult to know what it was. Someone called it in and said it was a vehicle fire.

“We all ran around and jumped in cars and grabbed fire extinguishers and immediately went to the vehicle. It was engulfed in flames. There was nothing. They were trapped. Employees, friends of the shop. We tried. We tried. We went through fire extinguishers.”

Walker is survived by his 15-year-old daughter Meadow, who is said to have recently moved to California from Hawaii to be closer to him.

Although the exact cause of the crash is currently unknown, local police have said “speed was at least a contributing factor”.

Mr Walker, had recently started working on the seventh installment of the Fast and Furious franchise alongside Vin Diesel, Jason Statham and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. Production of the film will continue but with some delays, it has been reported.

Valencia -- Witnesses that came upon the scene of Saturday's fiery solo car crash that killed internationally renowned actor Paul Walker of "Fast & Furious" fame and former race car driver Roger Rodas said they watched helplessly as the pair inside the vehicle were quickly engulfed in flames.

Rodas, 38, and Walker, 40, were in a 2005 red Porsche Carrera GT on Saturday afternoon when Rodas lost control of the supercar on a street in an industrial park in Valencia. The car slammed into a light pole, hit a tree and exploded in flames upon or shortly after impact, just before 3:30 p.m.
Firefighters with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene at the 28300 block of Rye Canyon Loop but were unable to save either of the two men. Both were declared dead at the scene of the collision, according to county fire dispatch supervisor Kyle Sanford. Authorities late Saturday said speed was a factor.

"The fire was too big -- we couldn't do anything. It was 15 or 20 feet high," said Brandon Torp, 28, of Santa Clarita, who said he was one of the first people on the scene.
Torp said he and at least three others grabbed fire extinguishers from the custom car shop, Always Evolving, where a charity event for Walker's organization Reach Out Worldwide was winding down at an industrial center.

"We were trying to put it out, but we got pushed away by the fire department and the sheriff's," Torp, who said he knew both men, added. "It all happened so quick. It just got swarmed with people so fast and everything was kind of crazy."

One of Walker's close friends, which Torp only knew by the name "Newt" ran to the front of the car and tried to pull Walker out but "sheriff's pushed him away" because of the danger, Torp said.
Los Angeles County Department of Coroner Investigator Dana Bee said though investigators obviously had information about the possible identity of the badly burned bodies, they officially remained listed as John Does at the coroner's office pending positive identification.

"They are not identifiable by conventional means, and that includes fingerprints," Bee said. "So, we've established contact with representatives from both families."

Coroner's investigators were working to compare dental records of Walker and Rodas to the teeth of the men killed in Saturday's crash and said the investigation was ongoing.

Torp's father Jim Torp, also of Santa Clarita, also attended the event and said he heard a "big bang," saw smoke and asked the employees of Always Evolving to check it out. While some initially thought it was smoke from a special effects business, they soon realized that it was a car accident and that Walker and Rodas were trapped inside, he said.

"They grabbed their fire extinguishers, they came up here and there was nothing they could do for them," Jim Torp said.

While racing between cars is known to sometimes happen in that area, the Torps said they do not believe Rodas and Walker were racing at the time of the crash.

Walker of the "Fast & Furious" movie series and Rodas, who were partners of Always Evolving, were laughing and enjoying themselves at the car show and toy drive held at the custom car shop minutes before the fiery crash claimed their lives.

Jim Torp said he was joking around with Rodas and teasing him about driving around his American muscle car -- a sleek orange Impala convertible -- instead of his Ferrari, and Rodas said, 'hey, I like this car, it's my Halloween pumpkin," Torp said. The last words Jim Torp heard from Walker was that he would be back in five minutes to sign autographs and take photos with fans, he said, but he never made it back.

Statements from witnesses and those close the pair have confirmed their deaths.

"Thank you all for your condolences and prayers while we mourn the loss of our loved ones," said a posting Sunday on the Always Evolving Facebook page.

On Sunday, more than a hundred fans of Walker and Rodas gathered at a large memorial at the crash site that was laden with flowers, votive candles and condolences for the families as curious drivers slowly drove by the site.

Patty and Sean Kelly, also of Santa Clarita, were at the memorial to pay their respects since they and their five children, most of whom are grown and live out of the area, are big fans of Walker's.

"We're sad, he was a great actor and a great humanitarian," Patty Kelly said. "It's hard to believe."
Sean added; "Our kids followed his movies pretty closely and we felt we had to come here because our kids are all spread around...We figured we'd pay our respects on behalf of our kids."

Brothers Daniel and Louie Macatangay of Koreatown, who became huge fans of the "Fast & Furious" movies while living in their native Philippines, were also at the crash site to offer their respects to Walker.

"I got into racing (in the Philippines) by watching his first movie, 'Fast & Furious'" said Louie Macatangay, 24. "He opened my mind to everything."

The brothers also said they appreciated Walker's efforts to help raise funds for the disaster-prone Philippines in the wake of the nation's recent earthquake and typhoon.

On a memorial board, fans wrote messages, such as "RIP Paul and Roger, we will be thinking of you, forever in our hearts" and "Race in Paradise."

Fellow actors and friends have continued to take to social media to express shock and dismay at the news of the accident.

"Brother, I will miss you very much. Heaven has gained a new angel. Rest in peace," Vin Diesel said of Walker on Twitter. The two starred in several of the "Fast & Furious" movies together, and were filming "Fast & Furious 7" at the time of Walker's death.

Walker, a Glendale native who attended Village Christian School in Sun Valley, also starred in the suspense drama, "Hours," which is set for release this month.

December 3, 2013 - Paul Walker And Roger Rodas Were Not Street Racing, Officials Say

While the neighborhood where "Fast & Furious" star Paul Walker died in a fiery crash is known to attract street racers, law enforcement officials do not believe the Porsche he and a friend were riding in had been racing another car.

Accident investigators "have received eyewitness statements that the car involved was traveling alone at a high rate of speed," the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a statement Monday. "No eyewitness has contacted the (department) to say there was a second vehicle."

Walker and his friend and fellow fast-car enthusiast Roger Rodas died Saturday when Rodas' 2005 Porsche Carrera GT smashed into a light pole and tree, then exploded in flames. The posted limit was 45 mph.

The two had taken what was expected to be a brief drive away from a charity fundraiser and toy drive at Rodas' custom car shop in the Southern California community of Valencia, about 30 miles northwest of Los Angeles. Walker's publicist said the action star was the passenger.

The crash happened on a street that forms an approximately 1-mile loop amid industrial office parks. It is rimmed by hills and relatively isolated from traffic, especially on weekends when the businesses are closed.

"It's well-known out here that that's a hot spot for street racers," California Highway Patrol Sgt. Rick Miler said.

Skid marks are a testament to past antics on the loop. The sheriff's department, which polices the neighborhood, said Saturday's wreck was not the first speed-related crash there, but would not reveal specifics.

Meanwhile, investigators are consulting video from security cameras, talking to witnesses and analyzing physical evidence such as on-board computer data from the Porsche.
A steady stream of fans has flocked to the crash site to leave flowers, candles and memorabilia from the action films.

On Monday night, a private memorial for survivors and the cast and crew of the "Fast & Furious" movies was held inside a white tent erected around the crash site. When it was over, Walker's co-star Vin Diesel emerged to thank fans for paying their respect to the actor.

"Thank you for coming and showing that angel up in heaven how much you appreciated him," Diesel said to the crowd, using the bullhorn of a police cruiser.

Officials have not named either person found in the car. The bodies were so badly burned by the fire that engulfed the wreck that dental records will be needed to confirm their identities.
Walker and Rodas had bonded over their shared love of fast cars.

Rodas, 38, and Walker, 40, co-owned an auto racing team named after Rodas' shop, Always Evolving. Rodas was a financial adviser as well as a professional driver who competed in 10 Pirelli World Challenge GTS races in 2013. He finished second in rookie of the year standings, circuit spokesman Dave Drimmie said.

Walker starred in all but one of the six "Fast & Furious" blockbusters. He had been on break from shooting the latest installment; Universal Pictures has not said what it plans to do with "Fast & Furious 7," currently slated for a July release.

December 1, 2013 - Paul Walker's long-term girlfriend 'broken up' over star's tragic death as teenage daughter struggles to cope with 'horrible' news

Paul Walker’s girlfriend is ‘broken up’ over his death as the couple were hoping for a ‘bright future’ together, MailOnline can reveal.
Jasmine Pilchard-Gosnell, 23, is being comforted by her mother Julie as she struggles to cope with the ‘horrible’ news, relatives said.
She has reportedly been dating Walker since 2006 when she was just 16 and he was 33 - but the 17-year age gap has been no barrier to them both finding love.

Jasmine’s uncle Barton Bruner said: ‘Paul was a really good guy and Jasmine is broken up by this. I went to Thanksgiving with him, played golf with him.
‘They had their ups and downs but they were together and looking to spend a bright future together.

‘This is horrible news and unexpected. Her mother is with her and she is comforting her’.
Jasmine, a college student who lives in Santa Barbara, California, was supposedly beginning to become the step-mother to Walker’s daughter Meadow, 15, even though she is only eight years older than her.

Jasmine’s presence in Walker’s life may have been one of the reasons why Meadow decided to move in with him earlier this year, having spent her entire childhood with her mother Rebecca McBrain, who lives in Hawaii.
Meanwhile, a fake Facebook page purporting to belong to Meadow Walker was shut down today.
Walker's reps contacted Facebook directly. On the page, the imposter paid tribute to Walker, calling him her 'real life hero'.
The teenager has not been seen since her terrible loss on Saturday.
Walker, now 40, was raised a Mormon in a working class California family, but his good looks - he was once described as a ‘young Steve McQueen’ - meant he was never lacking female attention.
He also strayed from the family values his parents instilled in him and when he was 18 faced a felony charge though he has never revealed what it was. The case was reduced to a misdemeanor.
When Rebecca got pregnant Walker was 25 but he refused to marry her, claiming that he was not mature enough even though it left him feeling like an ‘evil SOB’.

‘I was an animal, and so I want to be there and my heart wants to be in it, but the mind just isn't following it’.
Walker shared custody of Meadow and has claimed that things were good between him and Rebecca.
He has said: ‘I love my daughter so much, and I love her mom too. We get along so well as a result of me playing it the way that I did.’
Walker had spent Thanksgiving with Meadow and friends and was scheduled to return to Atlanta to continue filming the seventh Fast and the Furious film when he died.

Walker's co-stars have now been reported to be ‘too distraught’ to return to work on the Fast & Furious 7 this week in the wake of his death.
Production on the upcoming blockbuster, which began filming in September, is expected to be delayed after the star was killed in a crash at a charity car show.
One source told TMZ: ‘No one wants to even think about the movie. Period.’
Other sources also told the gossip website that the Paul was scheduled to shoot key scenes for the film this week in Atlanta, Georgia.
The insider said that several members of the cast and crew, who were supposed to fly to Atlanta this weekend to resume filming on Tuesday, said they won't be returning to the set anytime soon as they are ‘too distraught’ to work and expect the production will be halted.
Universal Studios, the company behind the film series, has yet to comment but sources said that this week's scenes all focused around Paul so the script will require some major rewrites.

December 1, 2013 - Speed contributed to actor Paul Walker's death

Cristina Barajas, left, and Luis Angon of Van Nuys take photos Sunday morning of the scene where actor Paul Walker and another person died in a car crash Saturday.

At midnight Sunday morning, hours after the death of actor Paul Walker made worldwide news, people came to the accident site on Hercules Street in Valencia where the “Fast and the Furious” star and another man died in a fiery one-car accident.

A toppled concrete light pole was on the ground with a speed limit sign, indicating 45 MPH, still bolted to it.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s officials could not confirm it was Walker who died in the accident.
Friends of Walker’s did tell The Signal Saturday and his publicist followed that up with a confirmation.

But a Sheriff’s official did confirm speed played a role in the deadly one-car accident.

“We don’t know much about the cause of the collision other than that we know speed was at least a contributing factor,” said Sgt. Brian Allen of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Allen said when Sheriff’s deputies arrived on scene, the car — a red Porsche — was fully engulfed in flames and after firefighter personnel extinguished the fire they saw two deceased people in the vehicle.

The identity of the other man in the vehicle, who was said by witnesses and friends to have been the driver, wasn’t known Sunday morning by Sheriff’s officials.

Yet a neighbor of the deceased person, who requested to remain anonymous, said it was Roger Rodas.

Rodas owns Valencia-based Always Evolving, a high-performance vehicle shop located a block away from the accident.

He is also listed on the company's website as a race car driver known for racing Porsche Cup Cars.
Always Evolving held a charitable function on Saturday to gather toys for children in the Philippines, three weeks after a typhoon killed more than 5,500 people.

Friends of Rodas and Walker told The Signal that the two had a business relationship and Walker, who founded the disaster-relief charity "Reach Out Worldwide," was at the business to lend his support.

People who were at the event told The Signal Rodas and Walker went for a quick ride in the Porsche.
“We all heard from our location (the accident),” said Antonio Holmes, who said he was a friend of Walker. “It’s a little difficult to know what it was. Someone called it in and said it was a vehicle fire. We all ran around and jumped in cars and grabbed fire extinguishers and immediately went to the vehicle. It was engulfed in flames. There was nothing. They were trapped. Employees, friends of the shop. We tried. We tried. We went through fire extinguishers.”

The accident took place at approximately 3:30 p.m, according to Allen.

A video of the immediate aftermath of the crash was on Facebook this weekend and showed the car in flames.

The video was 56 seconds long and showed the car stopped with fire shooting from the rear with one person saying to stay away because the car may explode.

A woman’s voice can be heard on the video saying, “Oh my God, there’s a guy in there.”

Photographs of Walker were taken Saturday showing the vehicle was a Porsche Carrera GT.
According to Allen, the car skimmed a tree then took out a concrete post and finally shattered another tree before coming to rest.

A faint skid mark could be seen just feet away from where the car burned.

Fans of Walker left candles, flowers and a small Christmas tree at the scene of the crash late Saturday night and into Sunday.

By midnight, the car had been removed and people were picking through the remains.

Next to the light pole was a downed tree and a car length’s away was a charred tree.

Santa Clarita Valley resident Jorge Villeda and his brother Victor Gonzalez paid their respects at midnight. Both were distraught and fans of Walker. “I wanted to see because I couldn’t believe it. This is impossible” said Villeda. “Ever since the first (“Fast and the Furious”) movie, he’s the reason why I wanted to see the movies.

The 40-year-old actor from Glendale was most recently filming "Fast & Furious 7."

December 1, 2013 'Fast and Furious' star Paul Walker dies in car crash

Tribune staff and wire reports
12:12 a.m. CST, December 1, 2013
Actor Paul Walker, who gained fame as an undercover detective in the hugely successful “The Fast and the Furious” franchise, was killed Saturday in a car accident in Valencia, Calif. his representatives confirmed.

The single vehicle collision occurred about 3:30 p.m. local time. Authorities arrived to find a vehicle engulfed in flames. Two people in the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
According to a statement on his Twitter account, Walker, 40, was attending a charity event to aid Filipino victims of Typhoon Haiyan for his organization Reach Out Worldwide, formed in 2010 as a quick response first-aid organization.
“It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide,” the statement read. “He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news.”

Officials with the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said they were still at the scene and could not confirm the names of either victim.

Representatives with Universal Pictures confirmed Walker’s identity and released a statement:
“All of us at Universal are heartbroken. Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the FAST AND FURIOUS films, and to countless fans. We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul's family.

In the "Fast and Furious" pictures, the blond-haired, blue-eyed actor played Brian O'Conner, a law enforcement official.

The first movie in the series, which stars Vin Diesel, was released in 2001, and a seventh was in development at the time of his death, Universal, the studio behind the franchise, said in a statement. The most recent film, released in May, was one of this year's biggest box office hits.

"Brother I will miss you very much," Diesel said in a post on Instagram, adding "I am absolutely speechless. Heaven has gained a new Angel. Rest in Peace."
More tributes flowed on social media websites such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

"So sad. He gave a lot of joy," wrote James Franco, while model/actor Tyson Beckford posted "Tyson Beckford: RIP Paul Walker, loved working with you on "Into the Blue."

Television host Carson Daly said that he was "Sick about the tragic loss of #PaulWalker. I enjoyed our time together very much. Such a really nice guy," while actress Alyssa Milano, current host of "Project Runway All Stars," protested "No. No. No" before adding "Rest with the angels."

According to the IMDb.com movie website, Paul William Walker IV was born in Glendale, California, in 1973 and began acting at a very young age, appearing in many commercials.

He played Professor Bennet in the 1987 movie "Monster in the Closet" and starred in the television series "Throb," IMDb said.

Walker also made guest appearances on television shows, including "Charles in Charge" and "Who's the Boss?" and had a role in the soap opera, "The Young and the Restless."

Other film appearances include "Timeline," "Into the Blue," "The Lazarus Project" and "Hours," which is slated for release in December.

According to IMDb, Walker has a daughter named Meadow.

December 1, 2013 - Paul Walker death: Cause of fiery crash still under investigation

Investigators are still working to determine the circumstances surrounding the single-vehicle crash that killed actor Paul Walker and another man Saturday in Valencia, sheriff’s officials said.

Speed may have been a factor in the crash, which occurred about 3:30 p.m. on Hercules Street, a normally quiet road with a 45-mph speed limit, Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials said. Walker was apparently the passenger in the 2005 red Porsche Carrera GT.

The four-lane road up the hilly street has signs warning drivers to slow down as they approach an uphill curve near the site of the accident.

The fiery crash left charred trees in the secluded area near a business park, and a burned smell lingered in the air Sunday. The car, which was reduced to an ashen hulk, had toppled a tree and a concrete lamp post, which crews from Southern California Edison removed Sunday. Looping tire tracks were visible on the asphalt nearby.

Investigators are looking at whether the tire tracks are related to the crash, but the investigation is ongoing, said Sheriff’s Deputy Peter Gomez. There probably will not be an update on the investigation until Monday, he said.

Because of the condition of the bodies, which were badly burned, dental records will be used to positively identify the victims, said Los Angeles County coroner's investigator Dana Bee. Autopsies have not been scheduled.

A video taken moments after the accident shows black smoke billowing from the crumpled red Porsche, which caught fire, and debris scattered about the roadway.

"The car is in half. I can't tell if there is someone in there," one person on the video is heard saying.
Second later comes an answer: "Yes, there is someone in there." At least one person heard on the video expresses concern that the burning car could explode.

Walker, 40, and his friend, whom witness Jim Torp identified as Roger Rodas, took a red Porsche out for a spin as a charity event held in support of Walker’s organization Reach Out Worldwide was winding down.

Torp said he heard a loud boom, and knew in his heart his friends had been in an accident. The smoke from the crash was visible from Always Evolving Performance Motors, which Rodas owned, where car enthusiasts and supporters were still gathered -- some thinking it was just a fire on a nearby hill.
His son, Brandon Torp, 28, grabbed a fire extinguisher and headed up the hill, followed by about 20 other workers, the elder Torp said.

"There was nothing they could do," he said.

Torp said his son saw his two friends burn in the car before the Fire Department arrived. Officials at the scene held back a childhood friend of Walker from pulling his body from the burning car, and firefighters had to pull Rodas’ young son away from the wreckage, said Jim Torp.

Eduardo Luna, who owns the warehouse across from where the event was held, saw the Porsche leave the parking lot moments before the crash. Ten minutes later, he heard about the accident and ran down to Hercules Street where he saw the car in flames.

"They just didn't want to believe this happened," Torp told fans and media at the crash site on Sunday. "It was 'Fast and the Furious,' that's what it is. Both racecar enthusiasts, both loved speed, both knew how to handle cars and this had to happen."

Walker was in good spirits earlier in the afternoon, and overwhelmed by the event’s success, Torp said. The parking lot of the shop had been full of high-performance cars, and he and Rodas were greeting people, shaking hands and enjoying themselves.

Reach Out Worldwide was formed in 2010 as a quick response first-aid organization, and the event was one of many car shows Rodas helped put on each month, Torp said. Proceeds are to be donated to families affected by the typhoon in the Philippines and a tornado in Indiana, Torp said.
